Hanan Kaffoura

Dr. Eng. Hanan KAFFOURA is a Specialist Marine Engineer with a PhD in “Sustainable Development of Ports to enhance the Maritime Transportation”. She is a Consultant at the International Maritime Organization IMO in two disciplines “Port Management and Operations” and “Facilitation of International Maritime Traffic”, an Expert in the Maritime Sector at the Superior Council of Public Works CSLP, Ministry of Transport and Infrastructures in Rome- Italy, and She was a Sustainable Development Specialist in Maritime Sector and Shipping Industry at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport in Damascus (Headquarter). She is a Lecturer and Speaker at Universities and Professional Institutions, such as University of Rome “Tor Vergata”, University of Milan “Bocconi”, Italian Federation of Business Professional Women Association FIDAPA and the Study Center “Radici di Pietra” in Perugia.

KAFFOURA holds a tow Master’s Degree in Italy: Master in “Business Administration MBA, Internationalization and communication of the productive environmental system in the Mediterranean” at the University of Foreign in Perugia and Master in “Logistics and development of Multi- modal transports” at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”. And She holds PhD in “Sustainable Development of Ports and their relationship with Cities, to improve the Maritime Transportation” at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” in Italy. Furthermore, KAFFOURA has long been addressing a very important topic which is the Maritime Environment and the role of the ecological and technological transition (Green & Smart) in the sustainable development of Ports and Maritime Transport, IMO new regulation towards green Shipping.
